Is there some sort of guideline that says podcasts have to be released at a certain frequency? If there is, we certainly disregard it.
But you know what they say, good things come to those who continuously hit “Update Podcast” in iTunes… and here it is. The next set - “All Good Things”, with the title punctuated by the last track.
Personally, this has been a soundtrack to a hectic summer - with a good bit of the set in place since July, about 10 test versions have been on my iPod and floating back and forth between Rob and I as we went about with new jobs, travel, and life’s adventures. Technically, it was a sonic mess for a while - these tracks were not cooperative. But even so, I found myself queuing it up on the iPod just to enjoy. That provided the encouragement to find some time, buckle down, and work hard at getting it right.
Don’t let Justin scare you off in the first track - it’s really smooth remixed with Booka Shade. Enjoy it, we won’t tell your friends. And don’t claim you can’t resist getting down to the Rob Base / Jamiroquai jam right after.
At this point if people are laughing at you, they’ll shut up when Feist pops on and go “who is that?”.. and you’ll tell them it’s that girl from the new iPod Nano commercials, but you were a fan before she was the new fad, when she was jamming out with Peaches in Toronto. Then fast forward to Track 6 and show your indie cred with Stars of Track & Field.
That about sums it up - new takes on guilty pleasures with some headphone-worthy new discoveries peppered in… all good things.
